KARACHI – Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday reiterated his reservations about the military courts and said that the draft of military courts will only be acceptable if it’s formed within the bounds of the constitution,
In a statement issued by the former president, it was stated that Zardari still has reservations over formation of the military courts. He said that his support is conditional to the content of the draft.
Zardari said that Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) legal experts are consulting over the creation of the military courts.
It was stated in the statement that the creation of the military courts will only be acceptable if it’s within the bounds of the constitution.
He urged to ensure only terrorism related cases will be tried in the military courts.
