Unveiling ceremony of WC trophy 2015 held at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE 237007_44847931 – Talking to the media at the unveiling ceremony of World Cup trophy 2015 held at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore on Wednesday, captain Misbah-ul-Haq said all the players are united and enthusiastic and the national team is absolutely capable enough to win the event and that no team is favourite for the World Cup.

The assumption that Pakistan cannot win the world championship is erroneous, he added.

Misbah-ul-Haq said they had many time sought tips from Imran Khan and would consult him again before leaving for the World Cup.

The current team does not have players like Imran Khan, Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram but the young players are determined to make their mark.

The World Cup trophy reached Pakistan after visiting Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, England, Ireland and Afghanistan. The trophy is 60 cm tall and weighs 11 kg and is made out of gold, silver and nickel. From Lahore the trophy would be taken to Karachi from where it would be sent off to South Africa.
