LAHORE – Prices of poultry products have been increased upon the arrival of winters,
Market sources said that meat stands at Rs 255 per Kilogram (Kg) while live chicken is being sold at Rs 152 per Kilogram in Lahore and Karachi. Poultry association said that meat has seen an increase of Rs 40 while live chicken that of Rs 70.
In Quetta and Peshawar, live chicken’s price is Rs 165 per Kilogram and that of meat Rs 270 Kilogram.
Pakistan Poultry Association said that religious gatherings arranged in Rabiul Awal and the change in weather have caused the hiked prices.
