POL prices likely to go up on July 1

ISLAMABAD 180840_55558035– The Oil and Gas regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to increase the prices of petroleum products.

 

Sources said OGRA has recommended Rs 2.66 per litre increase in the price of petrol and Rs 3.66 per litre in that of high-speed diesel (HSD), which is used in agriculture and industrial sector. Price of kerosene oil which is being used as alternate fuel in rural areas where LPG is not available has been recommended to be increased by Rs 2.50 per litre.

 

OGRA has also recommended increase in the price of light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 3.04 per litre and that of high octane blended competent (HOBC) by Rs 2.36 per litre.

 

The new prices will be implemented from July 1.
