Panama JIT to review Sharif family’s tax returns, other record


ISLAMABAD – Joint Investigation Team (JIT), constituted to probe Panama Leaks case, will meet today (Saturday) at Federal Judicial Academy.

According to the details, the team will review tax returns and other documents related to the businesses of Sharif family. The members will also collect the evidence for the preparation of the final report that is to be submitted in Supreme Court (SC) on July 10.

On the other hand, the team has summoned Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi on Sunday whereas his children Hassan Nawaz will appear before JIT on July 3, Hussain on July 4 and Maryam Nawaz on July 5.

Earlier, five Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s (SECP) officials and its chairman Zafar Hijazi appeared before the JIT. The representatives presented record of Sharif family’s companies including Chaudhry Sugar Mills.
