Pakistan ready to assist France in anti-terror drive: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the French embassy in Islamabad today (Tuesday) and condoled the loss of innocent lives in Paris attacks,

A series of attacks targeting young concert-goers, soccer fans and Parisians enjoying a Friday night out at popular nightspots killed more than 150 people in the deadliest violence to strike France since World War II.

During his meeting with French Ambassador Martine Dorance, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif remarked that Pakistan is ready to extend every possible assistance to France in this hour of grief.

He said anti-terrorism expertise will be shared with the French authorities.

Pakistan itself remained victim of terrorism and has been fighting this menace for many years. However, by the grace of God we gradually got rid of this menace, he added.

He said Pakistan always condemns all kind of terrorism wherever it happens and we are ready to play our role and to provide whatever we can so that the whole mankind could be saved from this menace.

On the occasion, the French ambassador said the French people and government has a lot to learn from Pakistan nation s
resilience.

After his visit, Nawaz Sharif left for Uzbekistan on two-day official visit for talks on bilateral relations and regional peace and stability.
