Pakistan lodges protest with Indian HC over soldiers’ deaths


ISLAMABAD – Indian High Commissioner (HC) has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday and lodged protest with over unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) that claimed lives of seven soldiers.

Pakistani troops responded to unprovoked Indian firing, and targeted Indian posts effectively, ISPR said.

The office urged international community to take notice of unabated firing by India along the LoC and violation of ceasefire. Spokesperson for the Foreign Office reported that Aizaz Chaudhry, Foreign Secretary handed over a protest-dossier with Gautam Bambawale.

However, Indian media continues to spew venim against Pakistan by wrongly alleging forces of provoking fire from Indian side.

Indian firing along the LoC was widely reported in and after September following an attack in Uri area of Baramulla District that claimed lives of Indian soldiers.
