NBP president moves SC against IHC decision

ISLAMABAD : – National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) President Saeed Ahmed on Wednesday approached the Supreme Court, challenging the verdict of Islamabad High Court, dismissing his plea for acquittal in a supplementary reference pertaining to the assets case filed against former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

Challenging the IHC decision, Saeed Ahmed has taken a stance that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has not implicated Qazi family as accused in the corruption reference and he was only made co-accused due to his ties with Ishaq Dar.

He said that NAB has assumed that the money was transferred to the fake accounts opened in my name. He has taken the stance that he was made co-accused in the supplementary reference pertaining to the assets case merely on assumptions and asked the apex court to dismiss IHC decision.
