Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) candidate Akram Khan Durrani luckily escaped shooting second time on Sunday after his vehicle was fired near Basia Khel in Bannu.
Police reported that MMA candidate was going to attend an election meeting when fire was opened targeting Akram Durrani however, he remained safe in the attack.
On July 13, at least four people were killed and 35 others injured when a bomb targeted the convoy of Akram Durrani near the northwestern town of Bannu.
The bomb was planted in a motorcycle.
Akram Durrani, candidate from NA-35, remained unhurt in the incident.
The MMA is a coalition of religious parties based in Pakistan’s northwest. Durrani is running against cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, whose Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI) is one of the front-runners in the July 25 vote.
