Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Asif Saeed Khosa on Monday interpreted that the existence sentence does no longer mean a 25-12 months imprisonment, rather it intended life imprisonment.

He remarked that he could similarly explain the which means of existence sentence at an appropriate time.

“After that, convicts will decide upon a demise sentence in place of existence imprisonment,” he said, while retaining the sooner ruling of the courtroom of giving a dying sentence to a convict in a murder case.

“If that is the case, then we might see who commits murder,” he went on to say, at the same time as relating to judicial exercise in India that there life sentences are given with period of imprisonment.
