Law and order situation in Balochistan has improved: PM Nawaz


ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has said that law and order situation in the province has bettered.

PM Nawaz lauded the departments involved in improvement of situation in Balochistan in a meeting with the students of Cadet College Manstung.

He said that today’s Balochistan is far better than what it used to be life ten years back. The PM said that following better situation in the province, the federal government wants to speed up development process.

He said that highways are under construction from Gwadar to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Development of road infrastructure will lessen distances among people.

Earlier on Tuesday, Chairman of Senate Standing Committee Rehman Malik had urged provinces to follow foot-prints of Balochistan as far as implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) is concerned. He rated Balochistan at the top in efforts to curb terrorism.

He said that law and order situation in Balochistan was the worst in the past ten years however now the province has put forth a model for other parts of the country.
