KPK cabinet has passed budget proposals for the next fiscal year.
A meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet was held under the chair of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday, during which it passed budget proposals for the next financial year 2014-15.
The total volume of KPK’s budget is expected about Rs 415 billion.
According to sources, Rs 139 billion will be proposed for development projects, Rs 14.36 billion for education and Rs 3 billion for power projects and one billion for agriculture.
They said Rs 20,000 annual professional tax likely to be imposed on specialist doctors, while 5 to 10 percent income tax on agricultural land also has also been proposed.
Senior Provincial Minister and Minister for Finance Siraj-ul-Haq will present provincial budget for fiscal year 2014-15 during the Assembly session.
