ISLAMABAD – Government officials and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Sunday responded to allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif during his address. Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid stated that the PTI chairman has no businesses, yet he manages to travel in airplanes.
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif accused Khan of using Shaukat Khanum Hospital s charity money for off-shore companies investments, adding that accountability should be indiscriminate. He further stated that the PTI chairman should declare the source of his income.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that Khan s talk during the address was incoherent. He added that Khan initially wanted Shoaib Suddle to head the commission, but now is demanding Chief Justice (CJ) for leading the commission.
Addressing the issue, Punjab government s Spokesperson Zaeem Qadri has stated that the PTI chairman has given a new twist to the term state enmity.
Federal Information Minister Rashid had earlier asked 3 questions from Khan before his address to the nation.
Rashid stated the first question saying that when will Imran Khan apologise to the nation over postponing Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan.
He inquired a second question that when was Khan going to apologise to the nation over inciting people to attack Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).
He asked the third questions that when was the PTI chairman going to apologise for causing loss of trillion of rupees to the country?
The Minister said he hoped that Khan will answer these questions before addressing the nation. However, the PTI chairman did not refer to these questions during his address to the nation.
