ISLAMABAD – While expressing lack of confidence on the committee probing Multan tragedy, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday said that he won’t rest until justice with those died in Multan stampede is done.
He alleged Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) always did the politics of ‘musical chair’, adding that the foundation of ‘new Pakistan’ will be laid on merit and justice.
Addressing ‘Azadi March’ participants in Islamabad, Khan said that only two gates were opened in Multan stadium which caused the stampede.
“Tell me what were the police doing at that time?” He asked.
“Why was water poured on workers?”
He said PTI will prepare its strategy after investigative committee’s report arrives. PTI chief said that those who led the extravagant lifestyle with the borrowed money have left every Pakistan in deft of Rs 88,000 each.
Imran Khan said that the prices of commodities are rising because of the corruption and that he will expose ‘real assets’ of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
He claimed the nation is leading towards ‘destruction’ because of the rulers and that lawlessness will rise if the existing path is not changed.
