ISLAMABAD– First convoy comprising of 600 stranded Pakistanis will reach the country today from Yemen’s city Al Hudaida,
According to details, the government has developed a strategy to shift the Pakistanis from the war-torn country to a secure place whereas Pakistan International Airline (PIA’s) flight will depart as soon as it get clearance of landing in Yemen.
The flight has already got permission to enter into the airspace of Yemen.
Besides this, a ship of Pakistan Navy will also leave for Yemen today to bring back Pakistanis living in other cities.
As per sources, at least 600 Pakistanis reached Al Hudaida from Sanaa at midnight and resided in a school.
During the journey from Al Hudaida to Sanaa, the caravan faced checking from Yemen armed forces and Huthi groups however, it was permitted to leave after checking the documents.
The convoy included the Pakistan ambassador to Yemen along with a large number of women and children.
According to Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam, the convoy will reach Pakistan today.
Moreover, Pakistanis residing in other cities of Yemen have also been directed to reach Al Hudaida.
