Coast Guards detain 22 Iran-bound illegal migrants in Gwadar

KARACHI (WEB DESK) – Pakistan Coast Gurads on Wednesday has detained as many as 22 persons from a bus near Pasni who were on way to Iran through illegal channel.

Authorities have said that the guards checked identity cards of bus passengers and detained 22 persons. The detainees belong to Sindh and Punjab.

Spokesperson for the Pakistan Coast Guards has said that strict security arrangements have been made on sea routes to counter human trafficking.

Several Pakistanis have been arrested near Taftan in the past after paying a heavy amount to agents in order to reach European countries via Iran and Turkey through illegal routes.

The FIA arrests thousands of Pakistanis every year from Taftan and other border areas in Balochistan who want to reach European countries for jobs.
