Advisory committee formed for resolving tribal areas’ issues


PESHAWAR  – One more advisory committee was formed on Tuesday over the advisory board formed for reforms in tribal districts and consultation on development projects.

The committee will be monitored by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and CM held a mutual press conference in Peshawar.

Farman said all matters in the province are being addressed thorough consultations. He denied reports of issuing any order to curtail powers of the Chief Minister and termed it mere roumor.

Shah Farman said Chief Minister is the Chief executive of the province and he is backed by all-out support of government machinery.

The Governor said working groups have been made in all the departments for efficient functioning.

Mahmood Khan maintained that he is an independent CM and take decisions by himself. “Did not take dictation from anyone to remove chief secretary and IG from their posts,” he clarified.

KP government’s spokesperson Ajmal Wazir told that advisory committee will he ld negotiations with all the groups including Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).

The task force established for FATA reforms have also been disposed off following which all the decisions of advisory committee will be implemented in tribal districts.
