SANGHAR Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) won the Sindh Assembly s constituency PS-81 Sanghar by-election on Thursday, Roze news reported.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed result, PPP candidate Jam Madad Ali secured the PS-81 Sanghar seat by beating Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) candidate Jam Nafees Ali.
The PPP and PML-F workers clashed with each other at Tala Shah polling station during the voting due to which one PPP worker died. The PPP blamed PML-F workers for the attack.
The total number of voters in the constituency were 1,39,000 which include 76,461 males and 62, 540 females for which 122 polling stations were set up along with 122 presiding officers and 379 assistant presiding officers.
At least 1800 policemen and 700 Rangers personnel were deployed in the area to maintain law and order situation.
