SECP holds anti-money laundering awareness sessions

ISLAMABAD : – The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) held anti-money laundering and counter financing for terrorism awareness sessions in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad in collaboration with USAID.

More than 500 professionals from the securities and commodities market, insurance sector, non-banking financial institutions and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan attended these sessions.

These sessions were designed to help representatives of financial institutions understand the risk-based approach for the anti-money laundering and counter financing for terrorism framework.

It were also arranged for to focus on the Financial Action Task Force recommendations applicable to the financial institutions and the FATF monitoring process.
