PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated shelter homes in Peshawar today (Friday) during his one-day visit to the city.
Shelter homes have been established by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government under its 100-day plan. According to Radio Pakistan, 432 people will be accommodated in the shelter homes where they will also be provided food.
The prime minister will also address the provincial cabinet and MPAs regarding the 100-day plan at Nishtar Hall during his visit.
Last month, the premier had instructed Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to set up tents and provide food for the homeless in the province due to the approaching cold weather.
He had added that spots were also being located in Peshawar as well as Karachi.
Earlier in November, the prime minister broke ground for the establishment of a Panah Gah project for the down-and-out segments of the society after pictures of a man sleeping with his children on the streets of Lahore went viral.
