LAHORE: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Afzal Khokhar and Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar today in the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) city suo motu case.
The notice is being heard by a two-member bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, at the Lahore registry on as many as 22 encroachments on land owned by LDA in different parts of Lahore.
The chief justice remarked that the concerned Police SSP should present the PML-N representative if he doesn’t appear before the court.
The court has also directed the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) to present the property records of the Khokhars.
The chief justice observed that the court is receiving complaints from the people living Township area of the Lahore, and he came to know that the residents are being threatened by the land developers.
Afzal Khokhar is an elected MNA from NA-136 (Lahore-14).
